Aims & Scope

The Journal of Orthopedic Surgery and Research is a peer‑reviewed, open‑access journal that aims to advance scientific knowledge and clinical practice in orthopedic surgery and musculoskeletal research. It seeks to publish high‑quality original research, systematic reviews, technical innovations, and case‑based studies that contribute to evidence‑based orthopedic care and improved patient outcomes.

The journal also aims to foster collaboration across disciplines such as biomechanics, tissue engineering, radiology, rheumatology, rehabilitation, and biomedical engineering, promoting translational research from bench to bedside.

 

Scope: 

The Journal of Orthopedic Surgery and Research covers, but is not limited to, the following areas:

Orthopedic surgical techniques and outcomes (including minimally invasive and arthroscopic procedures), Trauma and fracture management, polytrauma, and bone healing, Joint replacement, arthroplasty, and prosthetic design, Spine surgery, sports injuries, ligament and tendon repair, and rehabilitation, Pediatric orthopedics, congenital and developmental disorders, and limb deformities. Orthopedic oncology, bone and soft‑tissue tumors, and related reconstructive surgery, Bone biology, cartilage research, osteoporosis, and metabolic bone disease, Biomechanics, biomaterials, implants, and innovation in orthopedic devices, Orthopedic imaging, diagnostics, and perioperative infection control, Clinical outcomes, quality‑of‑life studies, and global‑health perspectives in musculoskeletal care.

The journal welcomes original research articles, randomized and observational clinical studies, systematic reviews, meta‑analyses, case reports, technical notes, and brief communications from clinicians, basic scientists, and allied health professionals worldwide.
