Post-COVID syndrome, initially described during the 2020–2022 pandemic period, has evolved from a primarily respiratory and fatigue-based condition into a broader multisystem disorder involving pulmonary interstitial changes, immune dysregulation, and neuropsychiatric dysfunction. By 2026, clinical observations suggest overlapping phenotypes resembling autoimmune interstitial lung diseases and granulomatous reactions, with persistent neurological and systemic inflammation. This review compares early Long COVID manifestations with current post-viral chronic syndromic patterns
