Dr. Innovations in Clinical Trials for Sepsis Management: Translational Advances and Emerging Therapeutic Strategies

Sepsis remains a leading cause of mortality worldwide, characterized by dysregulated host immune responses to infection and subsequent organ dysfunction. Despite advances in critical care, therapeutic outcomes remain suboptimal. Clinical trials over the past decade have shifted from generalized treatment approaches to targeted and personalized strategies. This review explores recent developments in sepsis-related clinical trials, highlighting novel immunomodulatory therapies, biomarker-guided interventions, adaptive trial designs, and translational insights. The integration of precision medicine, artificial intelligence, and real-time monitoring technologies is reshaping the future of sepsis management. However, challenges such as patient heterogeneity and trial design complexity continue to hinder progress.
